The Matest Automatic Marshall ASTM Compactor is a robust laboratory machine designed to automate the compaction of bituminous samples in 4-inch Marshall moulds. Eliminating manual compaction, the machine ensures uniform and precise strokes, automatically stopping the motor after the preset number of blows shown on the digital display.

The trip mechanism guarantees the hammer falls at a consistent height every stroke, while the corrosion-resistant 4.53 kg compaction hammer drops freely from 457 mm, achieving a nominal 55 blows per minute. The compactor incorporates a wooden compaction pedestal for stability and consistent results.

This unit is supplied complete except for the mould, which must be ordered separately. Safety guards are required for CE markets. It is ideal for laboratories performing asphalt quality control, ASTM standard testing, and research, offering reliable, safe, and efficient compaction of asphalt specimens.
